Water painting uses in sardonic funniness

Michelle Waters’s painting use sardonic funniness to portray what might occur if animals were able to reclaim their desecrated habitat from industrial civilization. Scenes depicted include Arctic natural world laying waste to a Hummer dealership, a mountain lion with an acetylene torch decommissioning a bulldozer and animals tearing down billboards for somewhere to live developments.

Waiting for My Ship Water front Park River

This was painted from the Waterfront Park along the river. I actually went there hopeful that one of the Tall Ships would be there that will be parading up next week. Unfortunately, no ship was there, but these red benches looking away over the river beneath the Chestnut Tree captured my notice. Without a ship, they became the central point of my painting. Two women came along and sat down on one of the benches, discussion and gazing out onto the water, so I popped them into the painting too!

Showing weather places in Oil Painting

Well here in Ireland the weather has been quite showery more than last few weeks and with no sign of stopping I think that the types of paintings that might demand to people could be those that show humid weather and places we would really like to experience. That's why I thought this sight would be an appealing candidate. I am effective in oils on a 16" x 20" canvas. Here I have posted the growth shots of my undercoating stage, completed more or less in the above explosion.

To transfer my picture onto the canvas, I draw it out on parchment paper and I put a sheet of paper enclosed in charcoal under this face down onto the canvas. I then go over each line with a pen that no longer facility. I put a book under the canvas to put off damage from leaning too hard on it. The result is an outline illustration on the canvas in charcoal.

Old Century black and white jade paintings

The all-out winner was an old Century black and white jade example carved by an artist of the Soochow School that sold for $15,600 to a Hong Kong bidder, who was a big purchaser overall. The ovoid jade bottle was carved in a relief picture of travelers in rocky terrain with a fine calligraphic inscription on the reverse and museum numbers on the bottom. The stopper was of virtual coral.

The Asian sales typically attract a group of remarkably focused bidders and this week was no exception. Even though fewer bidders show up for these sales, the ones who do so more than make up for the numbers by the strength of their bidding.

Painting fruits and vegetables in your bags

one of the things I like about painting fruits and vegetables is the unlimited variation that’s inherent in the subject. While anyone can have an idea about what a potato or onion looks like, no 2 potatoes or onions are matching – however similar they might be. Add to this the apparently endless varieties of each vegetable type (there are 3 VERY different looking turnips in this design) and you really do end up with eternal variations. When observed intimately, the unique character of any living thing can be discovered.

The painted vegetables and fruit that create this design come from two different paintings.

Child Art Paintings and Prints

My dad has an orchard of about one hundred fruit trees, typically peaches with some plum and pear trees scattered among them. Everyone loves to go to the orchard when the peaches are receiving ripe and eat them right off the tree where they are full of flavor and juice that just drips off your elbows as it runs down your arms.

That is precisely what Maddie, my little granddaughter, was doing as she was picking some to take back home with her. I tried to imprison that feeling as I painted her in her Pau-Paw’s peach orchard.

New robot painting says I can almost reach it

A new little robot painting, for days when it seems like the lot worth having is just out of reach. (He's hopeful, even if he has no reason to be.)

This is a little robot painting about the suckiness of social networking, and further specifically about the jerk who just deleted a friend of mine. I think it's in fact sad that our society developed a way to end friendships with a click. If somebody matters sufficient to befriend, don't they matter enough to keep around for a while? To maybe talk to? To let them know what's bothering you?

In present-day of Modern Art Paintings

My art is contemporary, literally speaking: a creation of its times. Vanguard, on the contrary, represents the most original – neither improved nor worse; likes the sharp point of a spear which opens up new paths. However, that pointed point needs all the power and weight of the relax of the spear, the weight of Art History. Without all this History, there is no drive to open up new ways. Art represent newness, novelty, surprise, the truth and the fake, a risky and charming bet.

However, what machinations I am to draw from the classic and contemporary traditions, to get deeper into the walked path, and to remain vigilant – like many other artists – to provide artists with a solid foundation. Much in the same way as an older brother holds his youngest brother’s hand with attraction as the intrepid child peeks, with amazing daring and no fear, into the abyss. I need to keep an eye on the group because it keeps me young as an artist, it cleanses me, and it clears up my spirit so that my view doesn’t sour. I am a part of the body of the lance and, from that vantage point; I observe with fascination the young sharp art poking at the same time as I draw from the magnificent work of the masters of all times, the influential legacy that sustains us.

Painting with wide open eye max

Max just stood there, staring at the painting with eyes wide open, mouth a bit parted, a bit of drool shiny from the corner of his mouth. I think I heard him talk softly the words she’s so beautiful to him. He just couldn’t stop staring it was as condition he was hypnotized. I don’t really believe she’s that good-looking.

After a few minutes Max seemed a little uninterested from looking at all the art and shuffled his feet from one painting to the next. He was so bushed from the whole ordeal that his eyes slowly began to shut and the next thing you knew, he was inactive – while standing up!

Stroke work is the foundation for decorative painting

Stroke work is the foundation behind decorative painting. Once you have mastered the different strokes, you will be on the way to creating attractive artwork. By learning these different techniques you will be talented to do different types of decorative painting. Combining techniques will allow you to create more attention in your work.

If you are a painter who did not revision how to use your brush and the different strokes from the beginning, you will notice the dissimilarity in your work if you take the time to learn. It allows you to appreciate how to hold your brush, the amount of pressure, and how the paint works in your brush. This is information that is valuable no matter what type of painting you do.

There are two main basics to stroke work. One element is sliding pressure and the other is sideways pressure. The amount of pressure will resolve the width of your stroke. Of course, the more pressure you exert, the wider your fondle will be. As with the less weight you use, the smaller your strokes will be.

An incredible artist and good friend of mine integrated me in a series of mixed media paintings featuring artists of different types…actors, musical group, painters, etc. I thought what he did was astonishing.
